GERALDINE, Ala.-- In a preseason Jamboree, the Piedmont Bulldogs defeated the Geraldine Bulldogs, 26-7.

The Piedmont Bulldogs could not make any headway with their first possession and were forced to punt.  After a back-and-forth battle between the teams, Piedmont put their first points on the board first with a quarterback sneak. The extra point was good to give the Piedmont Bulldogs the 7-0 advantage with 5:43 remaining in the first quarter.

It was an intense battle between both teams during the entire second and third quarter with neither team adding points to the scoreboard.

Piedmont scored on a 1-yard scamper into the endzone with 11:12 remaining in the fourth quarter. The extra point attempt failed, making the score 13-0.  Kobe Hall barreled down the field with a 65-yard touchdown run to put Geraldine on the board.  The PAT by Carlos Mann was good, bringing the score to 13-7 with 11:01 remaining in the fourth.  With 10:35 remaining in play, Dontavius Jordan got loose on a 60 yard run for the Piedmont touchdown. The point-after attempt was good, advancing Piedmont, 20-7 over Geraldine. Jordan scored again for Piedmont, on a 45-yard touchdown run, with 6:45 remaining in the game, making the final score for the Jamboree 26-7.

Geraldine will travel to take on the Westminster Christian Wildcats, Friday night to start regular season play.
