DeKALB COUNTY, Ala. — Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the DeKalb County Sports Hall of Fame (HOF) Banquet has been rescheduled. The 2020 class will be inducted on June 12, 2021. No inductees will be added to the current class.

"We regret having to make this delay, but we want the banquet to be an event that everybody feels safe in attending," the HOF said in a statement. 

This year's class included eight individuals from DeKalb County: 

• Fort Payne: Butch Cassidy, Mike Shirey, Mike Holtzclaw, Michael Dryer
• Valley Head: Bobby Jones
• Collinsville: Donald Jones
• Ider: Brent Tinker
• Crossville: Mick Hedgepath

In addition to honoring the inductees, the HOF will honor two high school stidents with $1,000 scholarships at the banquet.
