DEKALB COUNTY, Ala.—A DeKalb County man who is campaigning for DeKalb County Sheriff has recently been indicted on charges of computer tampering and impersonating a peace officer.
According to court records, Terry Wayne Wadsworth, 57 of Collinsville was indicted on November 18 by a DeKalb County grand jury.
The indictment states that Wadsworth “falsely pretended to be a peace officer and did act in that capacity,” and illegally obtained information from the Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center.
SBI was in charge of the arrest and the investigation of Wadsworth.
The date of Wadsworth’s arraignment is set for February 10, 2022.
