FORT PAYNE, Ala. — On Saturday, November 5th, from 10 am to 4 pm, the Little River Canyon Center will be hosting their eighth annual Canyonfest. A celebration of art and nature, the festivities will have something for everyone to enjoy.
According to Anna Lindsey, who is in charge of the event at the canyon center, there are approximately 25 art vendors lined up to attend. She said that all of the artwork being displayed is handmade.
In addition, “The artists will be demonstrating and selling some of their work.” At the same time, there will be an arts and crafts area for children to make their own art.
Along with the art vendors, there will be several food vendors at Canyonfest.
Lindsey explained, “They’ll have everything from Italian ice, to kettle corn, to corn dogs, to barbecue, to funnel cakes.”
Musical entertainment will be provided by Matt Downer, a fiddler from Chattanooga, playing folk music.
In case of rain or any other weather issue, Lindsey said that the event would be moved inside the Canyon Center. She stressed that, no matter what, the event would not be cancelled, but would simply relocate indoors.
Admission and parking to the event are free, though Lindsey mentioned, “There will be a volunteer fire department helping to park cars, and they’ll be taking donations.”
