WASHINGTON, D.C. — Rainsville native Jordan Doufexis has joined the Capitol Hill staff of Alabama’s newest U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville.

Doufexis, a Plainview graduate and former vice president at Southern Torch, will serve as Tuberville’s Senior Advisor and State Coordinator. Doufexis previously served as the Chief Operating Officer of Go Native and Digital Media Director on Tuberville’s U.S. Senate campaign. He is married to Ashley Doufexis and they have one daughter.

“Ashley and I have been fortunate to play a small role in reshaping the political landscape in Alabama for the last decade,” said Doufexis. “And I couldn’t be more honored to serve Senator Tuberville and fight for the people of Alabama in Washington, D.C.”

“Jordan Doufexis was an integral part of building Southern Torch from the ground up. He was here on Day One and led our team in building the foundation of our current company. Jordan will always be a Southern Torch alum that we are cheering and rooting for as he continues to dominate the political scene,” said Nick Jones, President of Southern Torch.

Doufexis brings an extensive background in politics to the new job, including stints as Vice Chairman of the Alabama Young Republicans and Co-Chair for Communications for the Young Republican National Federation. He is a recipient of a National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) Gold Medallion for his work during the 2016 presidential primaries.

“Jordan Doufexis will lead and oversee day-to-day operations of the Senator-elect’s state team as Senior Advisor and State Coordinator,” read a statement from Tuberville’s transition team. “His work on the campaign follows a decade of digital media experience with conservative candidates across the state of Alabama and around the country.”

Doufexis joins Tuberville’s staff alongside new hires Emily McBride as the office’s Scheduler, Hannah Eddins as Staff Assistant, and Jake Dumas as Special Assistant. Last month, Tuberville announced Stephen E. Boyd as his first chief of staff.

Senator Tuberville was sworn-in to office on Sunday, January 3, 2021.
