DEKALB COUNTY, Ala.-- Fresh vegetables are coming soon to local Farmer's Markets.

The goal of Farmers Markets is to provide healthy, locally-produced food and products to the community, in return, this will support the local economy.

The Rainsville Farmers Market, located on 100 Rodeo Lane, will open to customers beginning at 4 p.m. on June 2.

Rainsville Council member Brandon Freeman said there will be various vendors with fresh produce, baked goods, and even lemonade slushies.  He expects a large crowd for the opening day.

Applications are currently being accepted for new vendors specializing in local food products.  If you would like to sell your products at the market, or if you would like to volunteer, please call (256)638-6331.
