Rainsville Police arrests 26 in the first week of May

RAINSVILLE, Ala. — The Rainsville Police Department (RPD) has arrested 26 people in the first seven days of May.

The following people were listed as notable arrests:

  • Tony Ray Sargent: Burglary 1st, criminal mischief 3rd
  • Darrell Davis: Possession of a Controlled Substance (2x), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Marrissa Davis-Mooney: Possession of Controlled Substance (3x), Promoting Prison Contraband, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Charles Edward Matchen: Tampering with Physical Evidence, Possession of Controlled Substance (2x), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Kathy Marlene Chastain: Possession of a Controlled Substance (4x), Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Kendra Faye Lynn: Possession of a Controlled Substance (4x), Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Nita Corrine Bowlen: Possession of a Controlled Substance (4x), Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Marcus Maddox: Possession of Spice, Drug Trafficking, Warrants with the U.S. Marshall Service

"Drug possession will not be tolerated in the City of Rainsville," said Chief Michael Edmondson. "I am very proud of the officers who have made so many arrests the last few days showing the dedication they have to the City of Rainsville."
