MENTONE, AL. - An incredible mountain view, fireplaces and pit, a private chef, a yoga instructor, and art class are just some of the amenities that await guests at a unique resort rental property just minutes from downtown Mentone. If that is not enough, guests may choose to arrive at the rental with the refrigerator and food pantry stocked with their preordered selections.

The rental property is named The French Quarter Inn and is located on the brow of Lookout Mountain. The name of the 5, 200 square foot, two-story structure is fitting due to the New Orleans themed furnishings throughout the home, such as the elegant limestone hearth of the living room fireplace.

The property is perfect for large groups because it sleeps up to 27 individuals, has 4.5 baths, and hosts more than one ensuite. Visitors will also find items of convenience such as a stroller, highchair, crib, and portable crib available. Guests also have the luxury of speaking with a concierge who can direct them to digital guides for directions to nearby eateries and activities.

The French Quarter Inn is managed by Mentone Vacation Rentals (MVR). General Joe and Chanelle Cosumano are the owners of MVR. Chanelle said, “If space for 27 people isn’t enough room MVR also manages Cragsmere Manor just up the road and both spaces could be simultaneously rented to house a huge family reunion, wedding, or retreat.” Smaller groups such as girls or couples trips are given special rates with the use of less sleeping quarters.

The manicured grounds provide a natural setting for lawn weddings or outdoor family fun with games such as cornhole. A heated spa tub that seats 10 resides on the patio where guests can listen to the whistle of a train from the valley while gazing at the neighboring mountain range.

The master suite has a mini-fridge and coffee bar along with a private screened-in porch. The family- sized screened-in porch contains a swinging bed and fireplace. Tables are placed on both levels and both indoors and outside for plenty of space to eat or play games on.

The kitchen hosts an amply filled spice rack, farmhouse sink, wine fridge, and a butler’s pantry with a large selection of kitchen appliances. Special occasion and seasonal dishware for holiday settings can be found in the china cabinet. Guests do have the option of reserving a private chef to come to the home.

“We believe that the mountains are the closest point to heaven. It is our purpose to provide a clean, beautiful, and safe family environment for our guests,” said Chanelle. “A place where people can restore their soul and have an unforgettable experience.”
