RAINSVILLE, Ala.-- Rainsville First Baptist Church proudly announces the addition of Max Grizzard as Associate Pastor and Pastor to Students and Families effective November 9, 2022.  David O. Cofield serves as the Pastor of Rainsville First Baptist Church. 

Grizzard has served on staff at Ponderosa Student Ministries for 22 years, as a missionary. He currently is the 2022 Executive Director of DeKalb County Release Time.  He will continue in both of those ministry positions.

Grizzard was licensed by the White’s Chapel Baptist Church (Gadsden) in 1990 and ordained by Faith Baptist Church (Fort Payne) in 1996. 

He is a graduate of Coosa Christian School and holds a BS in Religion (Major in Church Ministries Youth and minor in Counseling) from Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA.  He has been in ministry for a total of 35 years. 

Gizzard and his wife, Sherrie, have been married for 32 years and have seven children and eight grandchildren.
