FORT PAYNE, Ala. – Moonflower Farms is a business located on Sand Mountain at 948 County Road 112, Fort Payne. Laura and Eddie Houk are the owners of this pick your own bouquet flower farm. The flower farm is in its second season and offers approximately two acres of flowers to choose from.

The farm also has a gift shop that both locals and tourists will find unique treasures from a dozen local vendors and others. Some of the items sold at the gift shop include; bug jars, butterfly nets, African dwarf frogs, greeting cards, soaps, lotions, tea towels, jewelry, hats, and candles. Laura worked with a candle maker to create a unique blend just for Moonflower Farms.

So far, the farm has attracted church groups, bachelorette parties, birthday parties, date nights, girls’ night out groups, families, professional photographers, and lots and lots of children. “The love of flowers is universal,” said Laura. “The demographic is different than what I expected it to be, but I’m thrilled to see so many different types of people coming to the farm.”
