IDER, Ala.-- Each year the Ider Baseball Team hosts a Dinner Auction as part of their fundraising program.

At this year's dinner auction, J.A. Bates won a workday from the Ider Baseball team.  This week, he donated his workday to the Town of Ider.

The team gathered together to weed-eat, pick up trash, and completed various jobs throughout Ider. Despite the high temperatures, the team worked endlessly throughout the day to clean up the town that supports them so much.

“I am thankful to live in a place that continues to support our youth, time and time again! In a world where there is so much bad, days like today give up hope for the future” stated Ider Head Baseball Coach Casey Gaddis.

“I remind our guys all the time when they graduate my goal for them is to be hard workers, created habits so they will be good husbands and fathers, and love being Ider Hornets” continued Gaddis. “The most important like a few of us talked about today, followers of Christ!”.

The Ider Baseball Team is currently conducting a Boston Butt Sale to help support their program needs for equipment, uniforms, and field prep items.  If you would like to place an order or make a donation to the team, please contact Coach Gaddis at (256) 605-7720.
