An RTI associate has tested positive for COVID-19.

All associates working in or around associate were made aware of the current situation according to CDC Guidelines. In response, RTI provided a thorough cleaning and disinfecting of the areas where the associate worked and conducted additional cleaning of common areas. Continued cleaning and disinfection continue throughout each day at RTI.

RTI is following all CDC guidelines, such as, screening each associates temperature as they enter the plant, requiring mask be worn inside plant, encouraging social distancing, and added sneeze/cough barriers were needed.  We continue to closely observe and understand any new guidance and/or direction provided by local, state and federal government officials.

Out of respect for the privacy of the associate, we will have no further comment at this time.

Southern Torch will continue to follow this developing story and report more information as it comes available.
