Spotlight on Coaches — Coach Heath Vincent!

By Marla Jones, Sports Editor • marla@southerntorch.com

VALLEY HEAD, Ala. — This week’s Spotlight on Coaches is shining on Heath Vincent, Head Coach for the Valley Head Tigers Varsity Football Team.

Vincent lives in Hammondville and is an alumnus of Fort Payne High School. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in social science.

Vincent has been coaching for twenty years. He began at Section as defensive coordinator for Coach Paul Ellis. After coaching stints in Ashville and Dade County, Vincent came full circle and coached with Ellis again for nine years at Fort Payne. He began his tenure as the new Head Coach for the Valley Head Tigers this summer.

“My goal is to establish a winning culture,” said Vincent. “It’s a slow process but we will get there. Time’s ticking and the clock has started.”
