Geraldine Bulldogs Coach Brad Waldrop

GERALDINE, Ala.— The Southern Torch Coach of the Week is Brad Waldrop, Head Coach of the Geraldine Bulldogs Varsity Football team.

Coach Waldrop graduated from Sylvania High School where he was a standout football player.  After several years in the workforce, Waldrop pursued his dream and went back to college.  He obtained a math degree from Athens State University.

Waldrop has been married to his wife, Ashley for fifteen years.  They have three sons, Styles 11, Slaytor 7, and Sander 6.

Waldrop said his favorite quote is “Excuses are monuments of nothingness, used to build bridges to nowhere, those who use them are seldom good at anything else.”

Southern Torch would like to wish Coach Waldrop and his Geraldine Bulldogs the best of luck in their upcoming season.

Good luck to Brad & the Bulldogs. We've been neighbors to Brads family all his life and I know what a great Christian man he is. We are so proud of him and his sweet family. Geraldine is blessed to have him as Coach!
