RAINSVILLE, Ala.— The 30 and under Old Timers Championship Game between Sylvania and Plainview was held Saturday night.  This game was worth the price of admission. The players  were the alumni of Plainview and Sylvania.  They ranged from every job, including coaches and college students. Plainview was coming into the game undefeated.  Sylvania had fought thru the Loser Bracket to be in the championship game.  They had already played two games during the day.

The Rams jumped to an early lead.  Going into the second quarter, the score was Rams 28, Plainview 21.  During the second, Plainview picked up steam. Going into the half,  the game was tied, 39-39.

Coming back from the half, Plainview jumped to a 55-51 lead in the third quarter.  In the fourth, the Rams fought hard for the victory and pulled ahead of the Bears for the victory.  Final Sylvania 81, Rainsville 69.

The 30 and Under MVP of the Old Timers Tournament was Zach King.  “I am so blessed to accept this award. Playing in this tournament is always fun.  We had to fight thru adversity to get to this game “ said MVP Zach King.
