GERALDINE, Ala.—The Southern Torch Coach of the Week is Brad Waldrop, Head Coach for the Geraldine Football team!

Coach Waldrop graduated from Sylvania High School where he was a standout football player.  After several years in the workforce, Waldrop pursued his dream and went back to college.  He obtained a math degree from Athens State University.

Waldrop has been married to his wife, Ashley for sixteen years.  They have three sons; Styles 12, Slaytor 8, and Sander 7.

Waldrop’s favorite quote is, “Excuses are monuments of nothingness, used to build bridges to nowhere, those who use them are seldom good at anything else."

Southern Torch would like to wish Coach Waldrop and his Geraldine Bulldogs the best of luck in their upcoming season!
