RAINSVILLE, Ala.-- The Plainview Bears celebrated Homecoming with a 41-7 win over the Collinsville Panthers.

To start the game, the Collinsville Panthers forced turnovers on Plainview’s first two possessions but were unable to take advantage of the turnovers. 

Plainview scored on six of their next seven possessions. With 2:45 remaining in the first quarter, Noah White stampeded down the field for 72-yards to score for Plainview. Dylan McCollough plowed his way down the field for 13-yards for the next Bear touchdown. McCollough also brought in the two-point conversion to give Plainview the 14-0 lead going into the second quarter.

The Bears racked up 20 points in the second quarter. McCollough started the second-quarter scoring frenzy with a 3-yard rushing touchdown. The kick by Aurturo Medrano was good. With 4:14 remaining in the first half, Andrew Hall came barrelling in from 11-yards out to score. Noah White made the 16-yard connection with Joseph Buchanan for the score. The extra-point attempt by Medrano was good, giving the Bears the 34-0 advantage going into the half. 

With 4:28 remaining in the third quarter, Gavin Brown bulldozed his way down the field for the 25-yard rushing touchdown. The PAT by Medrano was good to make the score 41-0 at the end of three. 

Collinsville put their only points on the board with 8:00 remaining in the game on a 77-yard Keaton DeBoard touchdown. The extra point by Tristan Gallegos was good, to make the final score of the game Plainview 41, Collinsville 7.  

Plainview was led by running back Dylan McCollough who rushed for 113 yards, two touchdowns, and a 2-point conversion on nine carries. Quarterback Noah White rushed for 120 yards and touchdown on only three carries. He also passed for a touchdown and had an interception on defense. 

Collinsville was led by quarterback/running back Keaton Deboard. He rushed for 110 yards on 18 carries and passed for 14 yards. He added 64 yards on kickoff returns. Charles Smith and Braxton Wright each recovered a fumble for the second game in a row.

Collinsville will travel to Asbury on Friday. Plainview will host the Sylvania Rams on Friday for the Sand Mountain Showdown.
