FOLEY, Ala.-- Fort Payne was well represented in the State Cup Soccer Tournament, recently.
Seven of the Fort Payne Soccer team players traveled to Foley with the Northeast Alabama Fusion Soccer Club, to participate in the State Cup. The 05 girls including Maddie Goggans, Jayleen Escobar, Alexa Hildrogo, and Katie Hernandez won the State Cup Championship in their bracket.
The 06 girls including Chloe Goggans, Avery Chadwick and Reese McCurdy placed third in their bracket.
The two teams traveled hundreds of miles and put in many hours of hard work to finish the tournament with a first and third-place finish. The girls proved that they are “Strong Alone, Unstoppable Together!”
