Dogs Dominate the Indians

GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. — The Geraldine Bulldogs defeated the Brindlee Mountain Lions, 64-6 on Friday night. 

The Bulldogs went on attack early in the game and scored 35 unanswered points in the first quarter. With 8:30 remaining in the first quarter, the Bulldogs scored on a 40-yard touchdown run by Caleb Hall.  The point after attempt was good, giving the Bulldogs the 7-0 advantage. Anthony Balwdin brought it in from 5-yards out with 6:24 remaining in the first. The point after attempt by Jose Garcia. After forcing Brindlee Mountain to punt, Kyle Tackerson sailed into the endzone, untouched.  The Bulldogs were 21-0 with 3:56 remaining in the quarter. The Bulldogs scored on a pick 6 with 3:37 remaining in the first. After a booming kickoff by Jose Garcia, the coverage team forces a fumble. The Dogs took possession on the Brindlee Mountain 11. One play later, the Bulldogs charged into the endzone, to make the score at the end of one, 35-0.

With 11:06 remaining in the second quarter, the Bulldogs add seven more points to the scoreboard.  With 5:23 before the half, the Bulldogs score. The kick by Carlos Diaz was good, broadening the Bulldog lead to 49-0.  The Bulldogs scored once more and went into the half with the 56-0 lead.  

After the half, the clock ran on 8 minute quarters.  The Bulldogs scored once more in the second half to take the 64-0 advantage.  As time was running out in regulation play the Bulldogs allowed the Brindlee Mountain Lions to score.  The point after attempt failed, making the final score of the night, 64-6. 

The Geraldine Bulldogs will host the New Hope Indians on Friday night.
