CEDAR BLUFF, Ala. — The Fyffe Red Devils shutout the Cedar Bluff Tigers, 42-0 on Friday night.
The Cedar Bluff Tigers tried to play keep-away with the Fyffe Red Devils in the opening quarter. The Red Devils only ran one offensive play in the first quarter, scoring on a 64-yard touchdown with 1:34 remaining.
With 9:17 remaining in the second, Ike Rowell stampeded from 25-yards out to double the score. Zach Pryon scored at the half on a 14-yard quarterback keeper with 3:48 remaining in the second quarter. The Red Devils successfully went for two and carried the 20-0 lead into the half.
With 6:56 remaining in the third, Rowell scampered in from 2-yards out. Rowell also brought in the two-point conversion, giving the Red Devils the 28-0 advantage. WIth 2:00 remaining in the third, Kyle Dukes galloped in from 18-yards out. The point after attempt by Brody Dalton gave Fyffe the 35-0 lead.
The Red Devils added the last points on the board with a 5-yard run by Will Stephens. The extra point attempt was good to make the final score, 42-0.
Fyffe will host the North Sand Mountain Bisons on Friday night.
