RAINSVILLE, Ala.-- The Plainview Bears defeated the Pisgah Eagles 54-40 on Friday night. 

The Bears scored first on a 28-yard gallop into the endzone by Noah White. The 2-point conversion by Braiden Thomas gave the Bears the 8-0 advantage with 8:27 remaining in the opening quarter. With :50 remaining in the first quarter, Braiden Thomas stampeded up the middle for the 89-yards for the touchdown. Thomas bulldozed his way in for the two-point conversion to give the Bears the 16-0 lead to end the first quarter. 

Pisgah added their first points on the board with a 2-yard scamper into the endzone by Rhyan Barrett with 10:09 remaining in the second quarter. With 10:26 remaining in the opening half, Thomas cashed in on a 22-yard, up-the-middle touchdown and another 2-point conversion to take the 24-6 lead. With 1:04 remaining in the first half, Andrew Hall scored on an 8-yard right pitch. Thomas brought in the extra two points, giving the Bears the 32-6 lead. Pisgah scored with 1.2 remaining in the half, on a 33-yard pass by Mason Holcomb to Parker Law. The Eagles went for two but were shut down by the Bears, making the score 32-12 at the half. 

After a fumble by the Bears at midfield, the Eagles went on a 50-yard drive for the touchdown by Ryhan Barrett. The Eagles cashed in on the two-point conversion also by Barrett, with 7:14remaining in the third quarter, making the score 32-20. With 5:22 remaining in the third, Noah White scored on a 36-yard quarterback keeper. The two-point conversion by Thomas gave the Bears the 40-20 advantage over the Eagles.  

White scored on a reverse option quarterback keeper to the right for 18 yards with 10:01 remaining in the game.  The Bears went for two but were stopped by the Eagles, making the score 46-20. The Eagles scored on a 46-yard touchdown pass to Fox Tinker and successfully went for two by Law, to make the score 46-28. The Eagles battled, scoring on a 2-yard scamper into the endzone by Legion McCrary making the score 46-34, with 2:18 remaining in the game. The Bears scored on a 55-yard up the middle touchdown by Thomas. The two-point conversion by Crowell gave the Bears the 54-34 advantage with 1:23 remaining in the game. The Pisgah Eagles never gave up, scoring on a 90-yard kickoff return by Tinker with 1:11 remaining in the game, making the final score of the night 54-40.  

Plainview was led by Braiden Thomas with 284 yards on 27 attempts and three touchdowns. Noah White had 107 yards on 9 attempts and three touchdowns for the night. The Bears had a total of 496 yards for the night. 

For Pisgah, Mason Holcomb finished with 12-of-23 passing for 259 yards. The Pisgah Eagles finished with 328 total yards.
