DeKALB COUNTY, Ala. — Baseball season is in full swing across DeKalb County!

• The Ider Hornets defeated the Gaston Bulldogs, 12-2, on Saturday, March 13. The Hornets boast an overall of 14 wins and five losses. Ider will face Gaylesville on Saturday, March 20 at 11 a.m. at home in a non-region game. The Hornets will face Sand Rock at 3 p.m.

• The Sylvania Rams fell to the Fort Payne in a non-region game, 9-3. The Rams have a 5-6 record, and the Wildcats have a 5-9 record. The Sylvania Rams will face Fort Payne again at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 20 at home.

• The Collinsville Panthers defeated Ashville, 13-3. The Panthers boast an overall 8-6 record. Collinsville will face the Sardis Lion on Monday, March 22 at 4:30 p.m. for an away game.

• The Plainview Bears defeated the Section Lions, 7-0, on Friday, March 12 in a non-region game. Plainview have a 6-5 record. The Bears will host the North Sand Mountain Bisons on Monday, March 22 at 4.

• The Fyffe Red Devils defeated Crossville, 11-1 in a non-region game on Thursday, March 11. The Red Devils have a 8-0 record and are ranked first in Class 3A, Area 14. The Crossville Lions have an 2-6 record overall. Fyffe and Crossville face off again on Saturday, March 20 at 3 p.m. in Crossville.

• The Geraldine Bulldogs fell to Gordo in non-region play, 9-2, on Saturday, March 13. The Bulldogs have a 2-8 record. Geraldine will host the Asbury Rams on Tuesday, March 23 at 6 p.m.

• The Valley Head Tigers lost to the Sylvania Rams in a non-region game, 10-6, on Friday, March 12.  The Valley Head Tigers have a 1-3 record. They will travel to take on North Sand Mountain on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
