MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Several DeKalb County & Fort Payne City athletes had the honor of being selected to play in the North-South All-Star week hosted by Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) in Montgomery. 

The 23rd AHSAA North-South All-Star Sports week was introduced in 1997 as part of the AHSAA's summer conference. 

"Our selection committees worked hard to select these all-stars from a strong list of nominations," said Jamie Lee, Director of the Alabama High School Directors & Coaches Association (AHSADCA). 

The students selected were: Grant Atchley (Sylvania Basketball), Maggie Crow (Fort Payne Cross Country), Haven Hall (Geraldine Volleyball), Kaleb Jones (Collinsville Basketball), Jason Perez (Collinsville Soccer), Dawson Garrett (Fort Payne Golf), Harrison Davis (Fort Payne Golf), Kenneth Toledo (Fort Payne Soccer) and Kenzie Traylor (Plainview Softball).
