Bears defeat North Jackson in championship

RAINSVILLE, Ala.—The Plainview Bears faced the North Jackson Chiefs in the Championship round of the 2015 First State Bank Shootout.
Plainview led the Chiefs in the first quarter, 23-9. They held on to the lead going into the half, the score was Plainview 37, North Jackson 27.
After the half, North Jackson gained some momentum in the third, out scoring Plainview 14 points to 5. The fourth quarter was a battle to the end, with two North Jackson’s players being ejected from the game.
Plainview won with class and dignity. Final Plainview 68, North Jackson 60.
Several players reached double digits for the Bears. Kobe Tinker had 17 points. Caden Millican had 16 points and 4 rebounds. Cade Willingham helped the Bears out with 14 points. Jake Slay had 9 rebounds for the Plainview Bears.
