The 2014 Alabama Legislature returns to session today at 12:00 PM in Montgomery.

The Senate and House typically meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with Committee meetings on Wednesdays. But legislators say they plan to meet three days a week for the first two weeks and then several more times later in the session making it possible to finish in early April so they can return to the campaign trail for the 2014 Elections. The legislative session usually ends in late April.

Most sessions in an election year don't contain much controversial legislation, but with many of Alabama's current legislators not seeking re-election we may see some fireworks this Spring.

Governor Bentley will give his State of the State Address tonight at 6:30 PM from the Capitol on Alabama Public Television.
