Ninth Circuit Judge Wes Mobley denies bond for suspect in Cherokee County double-homicide

Judge Wes Mobley refused bail for Jeffrey Wilcox Jr. (pictured above), charged with Capital Murder and 1st Degree Kidnapping for the kidnapping of his wife Chasidy Wilcox and the double-murder of her parents last week.

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ala.—Alabama Ninth Circuit Judge Wes Mobley denied bond at a court hearing held late last week via video conference for Cherokee County double-homicide suspect, Jeffrey Alan Wilcox, Jr. After a four-day manhunt, Willcox taken into custody by police and was arrested for Capital Murder and First Degree Kidnapping.

Wilcox allegedly shot and killed the parents of his wife, Chasidy Wilcox, at the residence of the deceased on  County Road 19 in Cherokee County. The victims, Daniel Andrews, 47, and Letitia Andrews, 48, were shot and murdered. In addition to being charged with the couple’s murder, Jeffrey Alan Wilcox, Jr. allegedly kidnapped his wife Chasidy Wilcox after murdering her parents. .

Wilcox was taken into custody in the Sheriff’s Office parking lot on Tuesday afternoon after his 2011 Chevy Silverado was spotted on West Main Street by Centre Police near the Courthouse. Wife to the accused and daughter of the deceased, Chasidy Wilcox, was found inside the truck at the time of the arrest safe and physically unharmed.

Chasidy Wilcox and her children were reportedly living with her now-deceased parents, the Andrews, while separated from her husband. The murder reportedly occurred at the Andrews’ residence and the children were said to be present when the murders took place.

Wilcox remains in custody at the Cherokee County Detention Center.
