DeKalb EMA issues Flash Flood Watch

DEKALB COUNTY, Ala.—The DeKalb County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) has issued a Flash Flood Watch from the National Weather Service (NWS) for late tonight Wednesday, March 30 through the night of Thursday, March 31, 2016.

Reports indicate that several rounds of storms are headed this direction with possible heavy rains expected to arrive around midnight with up to 2 inches of rain falling by 8 a.m. on Thursday followed by continued storms through Thursday night. .

Weather reports from the NWS also warn of the possibility of an additional 1 to 2 inches of rain tomorrow for an expected total rainfall of up to 4 inches or more in the next 24 hours which may lead to localized flash flooding.
