FORT PAYNE, Ala. — The following are reported incidents, arrests, and accidents from the Fort Payne Police Department for Friday, Feb. 10 – Sunday, Feb. 12.

FRIDAY, February 10

  • Reported Incidents (2/10)
    • Burglary – Occurred at 6111 Gault Ave N, a Kobalt toolbox, tools, Hymanxx 14’ utility trailer, Skil weed-eater, Echo chainsaw, and a Wagner spray gun were taken, two windows, door and a lock were damaged, valued at $4310.00
    • Change Bills Circulating – Occurred at 700 Gault Ave S, a $100.00 bill was counterfeit
    • Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Vehicle – Occurred at 2402 Dean Road NE, a ladies wallet and content were taken, valued at $20.00
    • Theft of Property – Occurred at Wal-Mart, a pack of Sylvania light bulbs were taken, valued at $5.98
    • Forgery – Occurred at 510 37th Street NE, a check written in the amount of $550.00 was forged
  • Reported Arrests (2/10)
    • Rita Kay Whala McDonald, age 63 of Fort Payne, was arrested for DUI at 7:36 am
    • Joie Lana Gowens, age 56 of Collinsville, was arrested for Theft of Property at 5:20 pm
    • Joshua Kyle Spillman, age 27 of Fort Payne, was arrested on a Warrant for Outside Agency at 10:03 pm
  • Reported Accidents (2/10) 
    • 3 Accidents reported with no injuries.

SATURDAY, February 11

  • Reported Incidents (2/11)
    • Theft of Property – Occurred at Wal-Mart, a variety of items were taken, valued at $100.02
    • Recovered Stolen Vehicle – Occurred at I 59 mile marker 220, a 2009 Dodge Ram 2500 was recovered, valued at $13000.00
    • Theft of Property – Occurred at 1401 Glenn Blvd SW, 32 gallons of diesel were taken, valued at $75.00
  • Reported Arrests (2/11)
    • Amanda Dawn Lavendar, age 29 of Collinsville, was arrested for Two Counts of Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Prescription Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Promoting Prison Contraband at 2:41 am
    • Brandon Douglas, age 31 of Birmingham, was arrested for DUI at 4:13 am
    • Jamie McPherson Evans, age 35 of Fort Payne, was arrested for DUI at 4:30 am
    • Erica Shanita Deshoun Foster, age 37 of Rome, was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia at 3:45 pm
    • Ronoldo Maurice Hodges, age 32 of Rome, was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia at 3:45 pm
    • Elizabeth Ann Arnold, age 35 of Fort Payne, was arrested for Theft of Property at 9:01 pm
    • Krista Nichole Guthrie, age 20 of Chatsworth, Ga, was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia at 10:56 pm
    • Tyler Brett Snyder, age 22 of South Pittsburg, was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia at 10:56 pm
    • Erica Mashon Guthrie, age 41 of Chatsworth, Ga, was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Receiving Stolen Property at 10:56 pm

SUNDAY, February 12

  • Reported Incidents (2/12)
    • Criminal Mischief – Occurred at 707 Lincoln Ave SE, an 8’ garage door panel was damaged, valued at $225.00
    • Burglary – Occurred at 1916 Gault Ave N, doors, currency, surveillance equipment, alarm system, narcotics, and a safe were damaged or taken, valued at $77100.00
    • Criminal Mischief – Occurred at 1696 Benefield Drive NE, an airbag sensor was damaged on a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze, valued at $400.00
