Fort Payne PD: Home Invasion

FORT PAYNE, Ala. — According to the Fort Payne Police Department: On May 10 at approximately 8:50pm a home invasion occurred at a residence on the west side of town.  

The victims state that a white male subject entered the residence and ransacked several rooms, possibly looking for valuables. The victims state they do not believe the suspect knew they were home at the time.  Taken in the house invasion was a pair of diamond earrings. A male victim encountered the suspect and chased him out of the house. The suspect is believed to be traveling in a small dark colored vehicle, license plate is unknown.  

The Police Department asks the public in the area of Second Street S to Thirteen Street N, if they saw anything out of the ordinary, a speeding car, or a white male subject wearing a hoodie, possibly a tag or make and model of a vehicle, anything suspicious around that time, to please contact the Police Department at 256-845-1414 and leave a name and number so our detectives can reach out to them.
