Panthers Maul the Lions

SECTION, Ala. — The Collinsville Panthers brutally attacked the Section Lions, shutting them out 51-0 on Friday night.

The Panthers scored on a 80-yard run by Jarrod Barkley with 6:46 remaining in the first.  Kaleb Jones added to the scoreboard with a 21-yard run at the 4:12 mark of the first quarter. Mason Mckinney brought one in from a 81-yard interception return with 1:25 remaining in the first. With :22 remaining in the first, Collin Tucker returned a 40-yard interception to score.  Jason Perez was perfect in first quarter, making all the extra point attempts.

Barkley scored again for Collinsville with a 16 yard run, with 7:47 remaining in the first half. The PAT by Perez was good. Mckinney stampeded into the endzone, from 9 yards out.  The PAT by Perez gave the Panthers the 42-0 advantage going into the half.

With 6:21 remaining in the third, Perez kicked a 44-yard field goal to give the Panthers the 45-0 lead.

In the fourth, Collin Hughes brought one in from 7 yards out.  The PAT failed, making the final score, 51-0.

The Collinsville defense held Section to 72 total yards with 13 yards rushing. They forced turnovers on five straight Section possessions in second quarter.

Jarrod Barkley led the Panthers with 2 touchdowns and rushed for 96 yards. Mason McKinney followed close behind with two touchdowns and had a 81 yard interception return.

Collinsville will host the Asbury Rams on Friday night.
