Jeff McCurdy releases official statement on his run for Circuit Judge!

FORT PAYNE, Ala – On Wednesday, June 7, 2017 Jeff McCurdy of Fort Payne, owner of McCurdy Law Firm, LLC in Fort Payne, Henagar Town Councilman, public defender for the Towns of Ider and Sylvnia, secretary of the Republican Executive Committee and former Sylvania High School elementary counselor, declared his candidacy for Circuit Judge, 9th Judicial Circuit.

Mr. McCurdy has been practicing in DeKalb, Jackson and Cherokee County area since 2010. He is a graduate of Sylvania High School, (1990), a graduate of Jacksonville State with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education (1997), a master’s degree in school counseling from University of West Alabama (2005), and a Juris doctorate from the Birmingham School of Law (2009).

“I am pleased and honored to announce my candidacy for Circuit Judge of the 9th Judicial Circuit, Place 2. I look forward to continuing to serve the DeKalb and Cherokee County areas.”

Mr. McCurdy states that, “A vote for Jeff McCurdy as your next 9th Circuit Judicial Judge, Place 2, is a vote for fairness, efficiency and judicial conservatism.”

McCurdy’s promises are that he would strive to be fair in all situations regardless of socio economic background, race, sex, or religion; to ensure efficiency within the local court system in hopes of lessening the hardship for all parties involved; and to make decisions within the written law, no matter what his personal views are.
