FP Creates "Complete Count Committee" for Census

FORT PAYNE, Ala. — (Full LIVE Video on our Facebook) The Fort Payne City Council held their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, July 16. 

At the meeting, the Council passed Resolution 2019-28 in support of the United States Census, and Resolution 2019-29 creating the City of Fort Payne “Complete Count Committee” for the 2020 U.S. Census. 

In other business, Fort Payne Parks and Recreation Director Robin Brothers announced a ribbon cutting for the newly installed giant swing at the City Park on Monday, July 22 at 1pm. 

Mayor Larry Chesser stated that the next council meeting would likely address rule changes at Glenwood Cemetery that was discussed in the Council’s July 2 meeting.

The next meeting of the Fort Payne City Council will be held on Tuesday, August 6 at 12pm in the council chambers on the second floor of Fort Payne City Hall.
