Devils Remain Perfect

FYFFE, Ala. — The Fyffe Red Devils shutout the Cedar Bluff Tigers, 56-0 to remain perfect in season play.

After a Ike Rowell blocked punt, Payton Anderson put Fyffe on the board first with a 17-yard run with 10:00 remaining in the first.  With 7:13 remaining in the first, Anderson scored again with a 23-yard run around the right side to make things 14-0.  Anderson attacked again with :27 remaining in the first, with a 1-yard run up the middle, to take the 21-0 lead.

Zach Pyron hit Payton Stoner on a 17-yard touchdown pass to make things 28-0 with 0:58 remaining to play in the first half.  With 3:08 remaining in the second quarter, Anderson scored on a 7-yard run by Brodie Dalton to give the Red Devils the 35-0 advantage.

Anderson started off the second half, with a 11-yard touchdown run to give the Red Devils the 42-0 lead.  With 2:44 remaining in the third quarter, Cage Cochran scored on a 9-yard run.

Tyler Machen scored the final Red Devil touchdown of the night, with a 52-yard stampede into the endzone, with 6:21 to play in the game.

Fyffe will be on the road for a region matchup with North Sand Mountain on Friday.
