Early Morning apartment fire claims two in Geraldine

GERALDINE, Ala. — Two fatalities have been confirmed in an earlier morning apartment fire in Geraldine, according to DeKalb County Coroner Tom Wilson.

The call to emergency dispatch came in around 4 am this morning (Friday, January 5, 2018).

The fire took place on Government Circle near Highway 75, across the road and a short distance from Liberty Bank.

Emergency personnel were on the scene until late in the morning. We can confirm that both victims were 30 - 40 years old.

Wilson says the two victims have not yet been identified.
