CROSSVILLE, Ala. — The Southern Torch Coach of the Week is Miles Holcomb, Head Coach of the Crossville Lions!

Coach Holcomb will start his second year as head coach for the Lions.  Holcomb graduated from Crossville High School in 2005.  He attended Shorter University where he played on the offensive line for the Shorter Hawks.  While at Shorter, Holcomb received his Bachelor in Science and Math.

When asked about his position with the Lions, “This is a dream come true for me, something I have wanted since kindergarten” said Holcomb.  “I feel the Lord gives you a title for your testimony, mine is to a Coach and help lead others to God.”

Holcomb is married to Kayla, a third grade teacher at Crossville.  They have one son, Kanon who is four. Before being hired as Head Coach at Crossville, he served as the offensive coordinator for the Lions.

Coach Holcomb said his favorite quote would have to be one from Stuart Scott, “Don’t downgrade your dream just to fit your reality. Upgrade your conviction to match your destiny…”

Southern Torch would like to wish Coach Holcomb and the Crossville Lions the best of luck in their upcoming season!
