ESG Announces Local Winners of 2019 Scholarship Program

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — ESG announced today the names of the local winners of the Dover Sons & Daughters Scholarship Program. The Dover Sons & Daughters Scholarship recognizes outstanding high school seniors and current college students who are the children of Dover employees and who have demonstrated excellence through their academic record, test scores, leadership abilities, and through their extracurricular activities and work record. Awardees may receive up to $10,000 in undergraduate scholarship support contingent upon maintaining academic and program eligibility.  Now in its eighth year, this program has made 281 awards totaling over $1.9 million in scholarship support.

Alli Essinger, a 2015 graduate of Grace Presbyterian Church School was selected to receive a $2,500 scholarship for the 2019 – 20 academic year. Alli is majoring in Spanish Education and just completed her Sophomore year at NE Alabama Community College. She is the daughter of Jeff Essinger, a Team Member at Heil Environmental, a Dover company.

Alyssa Morris, a 2019 graduate of Fyffe High School was selected to receive a $2,500 scholarship for the 2019 – 20 academic year. Alyssa will enter Jacksonville State University this fall and plans on majoring in Pharmacology. She is the daughter of Bob Morris, a Team Member at Heil Environmental, a Dover company.

Christopher Shackelford, a 2017 graduate of Lamar County HS was selected to receive a $2,500 scholarship for the 2019 – 20 academic year. Christopher is majoring in Aerospace Engineering at Mississippi State University, where he just completed his Sophomore year. He is the son of Jon Stanford, former Team Member at Marathon Equipment, a Dover company.

Recipients of this prestigious scholarship were selected from students who applied worldwide across all Dover Operating Companies. Being selected for this scholarship is a true honor and we commend our local recipient(s) on their wonderful achievement.”
