Man arrested in Sylvania for drug trafficking and possession

SYLVANIA, Ala. — Sylvania Police Chief Ross Greenwood confirmed in a statement released today that Daniel Brian Gregory, age 42, was arrested on Thursday, July 14 at approximately 1 a.m., after meth and scales were found in his possession.

Gregory was pulled over on a routine traffic stop by Officer Jeremy Pinegar. Upon suspicion, Officer Dustin Jones and a K-9 unit were called in. After search of Gregory’s vehicle, 21 grams of methamphetamine and scales were found under the seat.

Gregory was charged with trafficking in an illegal drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

"I am proud of Officer Pinegar and his willingness to help take drugs off the streets of Sylvania." said Sylvania Police Chief, Ross Greenwood.
