FORT PAYNE, Ala. — Deputies with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office and DeKalb County Special Response Team, responded to a residence in the Lickskillet Community after reports of shots fired into an unoccupied vehicle stemming from an ongoing dispute between neighbors. Charles Steven Henderson (53 of Fort Payne) was charged with Discharging Firearm into Unoccupied Building.

The DeKalb County Alabama Probate Office and the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office are assisting with this case.

DeKalb County Sheriff Nick Welden said of the incident: “Situations like this are very hard to deal with and take the efforts of many to get the adequate help for every party involved. We are very blessed nobody was injured and maybe we are all on the right track for what’s needed.”

“Big thanks to all agencies assisting, together we are one!”

“God Bless!” Concluded Sheriff Welden.
