Albertville man with juvenile in vehicle found in possession of meth

CROSSVILLE, Ala. —  On Friday, June 9th K-9 Deputy Akins observed a vehicle weaving on County Road 479 in Crossville, the Deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Once the Deputy was at the vehicle he asked the driver if he had anything illegal inside the vehicle or on his person.

Shane Curtis Walker, 26 of Albertville was found with a baggie of methamphetamine on his person, at which time the DeKalb County Drug and Major Crimes Unit was contacted.

Walker was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The DeKalb County Sheriff also reported that there was a juvenile in the vehicle at that time and was released to the parents.

DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris said, “Deputy Akins did a good job on being observant.”
