Train To Be a Fiber Optics Technician

Northeast Alabama Community College, in partnership with BDI DataLynk, will provide fiber optic training courses beginning Monday, August 10, 2015. Training includes both classroom instruction and hands-on participation. All training is internationally recognized, accredited by Building Industry Consulting Service International, Inc., and sanctioned by the Fiber Optics Association.

August Schedule:

(CFOT) Basic Certified Fiber Optics Technician
3-day Course $700.00/student – August 10-12, 2015

(CFOS/T) Certified Fiber Optics Specialist in Testing & Maintenance
2-day Course $675.00/student – August 13 & 14, 2015

(CFOS/S) Certified Fiber Optics Outside Plant
2-day Course $775.00/student – August 15 & 16, 2015

Fees include books and training materials, 1-year membership to FOA, and certification assessment. Certifications are recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor.

Courses will be held on the NACC campus from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm. Interested participants should have a basic working knowledge of computers, able to identify small items, and able to speak and understand the English language. Let an experienced instructor guide you in person, and certify you in person. Registrations now open through Monday, August 3, 2015.
