FORT PAYNE, Ala.-- The Bread of Life Community Ministries began in 2007 with a handful of volunteers that wanted to make a difference in Fort Payne and DeKalb County by providing a meal for those in need. The meals started with a sandwich, apple, and chips. Over time, the ministry has grown, reaching out to more of the community.

While the three meals are still being served, they have expanded their ministry. Due to the colder weather, they have opened a warming station on extremely cold nights. The ministry also provides a food pantry, clothes closet, and benevolence funds for those in extreme need.

Roadside ‘Oue, located at 607 Gault Avenue North, Fort Payne, recently donated 70 meals to help the Bread of Life Food Ministry.
