RAINSVILLE, Ala.—Northeast Alabama Community College (NACC) recently announced that Judith Lea, director of NACC’s Technology Learning Center, was recently elected as president of the Alabama Association of Testing Professionals (AATP).

AATP is committed to promoting professionalism and quality in the administration of testing services and programs in the state of Alabama.

The AATP membership consists of community college, university and private sector employees that work to promote communication and professional development through quarterly meetings, active mailing lists, and projects advancing the mission of the organization.

Some members attend the annual NCTA conference which provides opportunities for professional networking, valuable information on technical and operational developments related to testing, and chances to interface with representatives from all of the major testing companies.

The AATP is the Alabama Chapter of The National College Testing Association (NCTA). The NCTA is a non-profit organization of testing professionals working in post-secondary institutions, in companies with test-related products and services, and in other professional testing venues. NCTA was organized in 2000 through the merging of several regional associations.

Colleges and universities that are members of the AATP offer services in online course testing, lecture makeup and hybrid testing, academic course placement, remedial services placement, test prep materials, accommodations for disabilities, proctoring services, and certification and workforce testing.

NACC is a Pearson VUE-Authorized Test Center as well as a certified Certiport Testing Center. For more information on testing at NACC, visit www.nacc.edu or download the college’s free App from the Apple App Store or by going to www.naccmobile.com.
