DeKALB COUNTY, Ala. — On Saturday night, Jenna Sue Payne was awarded her 6th ABBY Award. The ceremony was held at The Club in Birmingham.

ABBY Awards are given to the best of the best broadcasting professionals from across the State of Alabama and are judged by peers from outside the state.

Payne won her sixth award for “DC Gas: Moment of Pure Bliss” in the category, Small Market Radio Commercial.

“Creative radio can deliver a call to action like no other medium. It is theatre of the mind, and engages the listener most effectively,” said Payne. “After 20 years in the industry I am still just as thrilled to be recognized by the Alabama Broadcasters Association as I was the year I won the first time.”

“It's a humbling experience to be recognized by your peers in Broadcasting. I appreciate Blake Green for producing the script, he's a very talented young man at Sand Mountain Broadcasting,” she concluded.
