FORT PAYNE, Ala. — Children and adults alike have been anxiously awaiting for the last week in September.  That is when the annual DeKalb County VFW  Fall Fair takes place.   There has been some concern that due to the coronavirus pandemic, that would not be a possibility.  Never fear, the DeKalb County VFW Fair will go on as scheduled, September 28- October 3 but due with some adjustments.  

There will not be any individual entry competition this year. There will also not be any group display booths as there have been in the past.

There will be commercial booths available as there have been in the past, but those booths, if staffed, will have to maintain social distancing.

There will be livestock and poultry events, but there will not be a goat show. There also will not be a petting zoo.

There will be entertainment in the entertainment area.  Groups will be updated closer to the Fair.

Southern Torch will update the Fair schedule in the coming weeks.
