FORT PAYNE, Ala. — A Fort Payne Daycare center, Kidemics, recently surrendered it's license, according to the Alabama Department of Human Resources (DHR).
The licensing of daycare centers is handled at the state level and a spokesman for DHR confirmed today that the license had been handed over, pending an investigation over several unspecified complaints.
Yesterday, the business shared a post on Facebook, notifying parents that the daycare would be closed on Thursday and Friday:
According to DHR, after surrendering a license, a business may obtain another, but the process takes time.
"A lot longer than a few days," the unnamed spokesman said.
