FORT PAYNE, Ala. – GREAT WHITE productions, an entertainment promotions company focused on energizing the Northeastern Alabama music scene by bringing new acts to the region, has announced the second in its Discovery Series of concerts in Fort Payne, Alabama.

“We are very excited to take this next step in providing another fine artist for Northeast Alabama to discover,” said Jeff White of GREAT WHITE productions.

“October 6, will feature Hannah Wicklund & The Steppin Stones, an exciting National Act. Hannah is 20 years old with a classic rock soul! After a year filled with festivals and touring with Marshall Tucker, The Steppin Stones will be wrapping up their West Coast swing where they will have played such famous venues as the Viper Room in L.A. and been on stage at Kaaboo, the big outdoor festival in San Diego, California,” said White.

“From there they come to Fort Payne! But mostly, we are excited to continue our showcase of Fort Payne and its many beautiful venues, its wonderful setting and it’s warm and talented people. Discover new artists – Discover Fort Payne! – That’s our new slogan,” he explained.

The series concert will again be at The Big Mill, a historic sock mill circa 1889 in Fort Payne. The date is October 6, a Friday night. Doors will open at 7 with music to follow soon after.

Local favorite Ryan Keef with a new group he calls Keef and Company will open the show. Look for power trios to crank up the heat that evening.

“I’m always excited to  see anything new that promotes Fort Payne and particularly our historic downtown,” said Mayor Larry Chesser. “What better way than with concerts and artists that honor our tradition of music here in our area. I would encourage everyone to take advantage of these opportunities!”

As the second show in this series, it is a pivotal stage for the company. If expectations are met, more, even larger, unique and fun entertainment experiences are planned.
