FORT PAYNE, Ala. — The DeKalb County Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) will host its annual Eddie McPherson Memorial Dinner Theatre in June at the Fort Payne Methodist Church's Life Center.

The performances will be held on June 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 11, and 12.

This year's play is entitled, "Southern Hospitality," described as a "hilarious, southern-fried hometown comedy."

The dinner theatre will return after being postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. That was the first cancellation in the event's 26-year history.

"Vaccines are rolling out and things are looking good to carry out the event," said CAC Executive Director Elizabeth Wheatley. "We will still be implementing safety procedures every evening, so everyone feels safe."

"Rehearsals begin on Tuesday, April 13, and we think we're off to a great start for another wonderful production," Wheatley concluded.

Tickets for the dinner theatre run from $25 to $35 per seat depending on seating and can be purchased by calling the CAC at (256) 997-9700 or visiting their office located at 104 Alabama Avenue in Fort Payne. Table prices begin at $200.
