FORT PAYNE, Ala. — The marching bands of DeKalb County are preparing to take the field in exhibition this month.
The annnual DeKalb County Marching Band Expo will be held from 3pm to 5pm on Sunday, September 15 at Fort Payne High School.
The exhibition, where bands are encouraged to show off their halftime show instead of vying for trophies, helps each of them prepare for upcoming competitions like Gadsden's MidSouth Marching Festival.
All seven of DeKalb County's marching bands will participate this year. The performance order will be: Sylvania, Geraldine, Ider, Fyffe, Crossville, Plainview, and Fort Payne.
The event is sponsored by the DeKalb County Band Association. Admission is $5 per person.
