Northeast Alabama Community College is pleased to announce that the DeKalb Ambulance Service has recently contributed money toward the DeKalb Ambulance Service EMS Scholarship for DeKalb County residents at Northeast. DAS has donated $10,000 and it is their hope to donate annually. The scholarship is a one-time award of $2,500 to the student and can be used for tuition, books and fees.

Mark Ford said, “As a parent, I understand the financial burden of providing our children with a college education. As the Director of DeKalb Ambulance Service, I also understand the need of paramedics to provide emergency care to the sick and injured within the county. When helping others we help ourselves.”
