POWELL, Ala. — On October 6, 2018, the Student Government Association at Northeast Alabama Community College (NACC) sponsored the 2019 Miss Northeast Alabama Community College Pageant at the Tom Bevill Lyceum on the Northeast campus.  The pageant consisted of nine contestants who attend NACC representing many local communities. The theme for the evening was “Community” and in coordination with this, each young lady shared with us how she would contribute to the ongoing efforts that Northeast participates in to help our local community.

Each Miss Northeast Pageant contestant was judged on three categories consisting of poise and appearance, interview, and student popular vote. Miss Brooklyn Chapman of Scottsboro, was crowned Miss Northeast 2019. The Judges’ Interview Award was presented to Brooklyn as well, and Poise and Appearance Award was presented to Adrianne Fox of Fort Payne. Brooklyn also was selected as the winner of the Student Popular Vote Award. Miss Cassidy Barton was chosen by her peers as Miss Congeniality for the pageant. Brooklyn will now represent NACC at many community events and college functions throughout the year.
